Iodine & salt

    Anyone know any other method Of administering iodine beside a bolus down the throat,

    Also some cows low in salt, is ther any particular lick one can get

    All trace at housing and then iodine at approximately 6 weeks before calving. It's noticable in the cows - good shine on them. Also have had no retained afterbirth. Have always used bagged minerals in the past and sprinkled it on silage but blood tests always showed low levels. Will be getting cows tested in april and will have blood taken to see what it's like.

    Bought from magenta as they had a special on it at the time.

    thanks for the info lads, ordered some licks from Mayo Health, one block does all job for iodine, salt and other minerals, 15 euro a pop delivered
