Anybody interested in this kinda thing? I'm talking about folk-rock in a Byrds/CSNY sense as opposed to the Avett Bros or Mumford & Sons, although they're alright too. I play a bit of guitar and bass and write a few tunes, can't sing to save my life though so that would probably be a good place to start. Probably have a drummer and possibly a 2nd guitarist, but you can never have too many guitars. So a singer or 2, bass player, guitars, keys, tambourine, trumpet, triangle, anything at all really that might fit in. Not looking to go down the "covers gigs 3 nights a week" route, more interested in coming up with some original material with the odd gig thrown in for good measure. Male or female, young or old. I'm 32 myself if that makes a difference, and listen to all sorts of stuff along the lines of The Beatles, Dylan, Neil Young, The Band, Simon & Garfunkel, Gram Parsons, Ryan Adams, Wilco, Johnny Cash, Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt, Springsteen, Flaming Lips, Tom Petty, Leonard Cohan, John Prine, pretty much anything that has melody & lyrics! Could be anything from Oasis and The Smiths to the Dubliners. All kinds of everything. Except Dana. you have to draw the line somewhere. Based in the Thurles/Templemore area.

Hi ya, I might be interested...I like alot of the artists you have listed. And I like the idea of original material, although my song writing experience is minimal. I sing but don't play any instrument...my influences include Florence Welsh, Dolores O' Riordan, Pink, Alanis, Dylan, Guns and Roses, Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Nina Simone and lots more...i have a diverse taste I suppose you could say! I am in the Borrisoleigh area, let me know if you want to meet and give a few tunes a go.

    Hi there,

I am interested in meeting up and seeing what common ground we have. I play acoustic guitar, sing (lead and harmony) and write. Your influences are exactly what I'm interested in. I live in Blackrock, Dublin but am from Tipperary and am up and down all the time.

    Many thanks
