Anyone know where the cheapest place to buy Velux windows is and what are your options on the alternatives?

I'm doing a bit if an attic conversion and I'm going to do it bit by bit and the first thing to get done are the windows.

    Builders Providers or Donedeal.

    Alternatives are Fakro roof windows.

Dont forget to insulate the attic/roof space too.

Rooflite another good value option, I was told they are owned by the same company as Velux . Come with 10 year guarantee.

I found Chadwicks and Heiton Buckleys to be the about best on price.(....GU-S06 size)...out of a good few builders providers in Dublin/Meath area.

I also got 4 Velux Solar powered blackout blinds off Chadwicks,as they were alot cheaper than anywhere else.

It pays to be nice and say please........Oh and to ask for a discount too.:D

Personally wouldn't purchase these online , no comebacks, goodwins Lucan stock both. Worth a try..

Be careful if buying used windows, missing or incorrect flashings could well turn cheap windows into an expensive purchase.
