I really hope Corrie or Emmerdale get a shot at winning Best Soap this year. Emmerdale has slowly become my favourite soap!

All soaps have been miles better than Eastenders

Coronation Street was a well deserved winner. Delighted they won best soap. Especially delighted for Natalie Gumede, who was outstanding this year.

Not one award for Eastenders (besides the lifetime achievment for Woodyat), that's got to hurt! In fairness, I stopped watching regularly a while ago as it had become so bad. How it won the Bafta is beyond me.

The only reason it won the Bafta is because it is on BBC, the soap really has gone massively downhill and didn't deserve any soap awards last night, gutted Emmett J. Scanlan didn't win more :( he really should have got best actor at least

I still think Hollyoaks should have gotten more recognition for the bullying storyline.

The aftermath/pay off of that storyline was crap though but the actress who played Esther deserved something alright

I can't believe how Jessie Wallace & some of the other ladies in the audience got so over-excited at the appearance of Chris Noth! Have a bit of dignity ladies, please! Didn't watch Sex & The City so maybe I've missed some huge reason why this guy should appeal to me....

I was glad to see Eastenders didn't sweep the boards as usual. I gave up watching it a couple of years ago as it's just too depressing. Catch occasional glimpses & it's still much the same as I remember. I'd have loved to have seen Emmerdale win but I doubt that will ever happen sadly.
