The Muntons Bock is a great kit. A great replacement for stout drinkers who would like to try a different dark. Just give it time. it took almost 3 weeks for first fermentation and once bottled it became gorgeous and soft in taste after 8 weeks. unfortunately most bottles didn't survive the testing phase towards the 8th week. :D

Only 1 week .. that's not much ... did you keep it at 28C all the time to have a fast bubbler? Do some gravity readings if you take it out too fast you will ruin the fine taste. Be patient with it. A real traditional book from the monasteries is made in 1 month in a cellar at 15 - 18C.

The book beer is not a fast beer its a patient brew ,-)
