the 2003 one is a younger car, from the bids, it looks like it will go for around €1500-€1600 wheras the other one is three years younger, similiar milage and looks like it will go for €2100.
    Do the maths!!

    Thanks for the reply.
I realise that that one appears better value.
But it doesn't have a nct and has not been used since 2010 according to the ad.
How much of a issue is it if a car has not been run for such a long time?

Can anybody clarify for me how bad it is for a car to bo lying up for 3 years such as in the op and how much it could cost to fix any resultant damage?

I'd be very interested to know this too if anyone could oblige?

It will need to be serviced, especially if it hasn't been driven at all or started every now and then.
Friend of mine recently returned from Australia after 4 years, went down to his car that had been sitting in the shed all that time and it started after he connected a new battery.
A timing belt has to be done every 5 years whether the car is used or not, they seem to be about the mileage where one is due, so i'd be doing that for piece of mind either way.
The leather in the 2000 model is nice, but the other car is 2 years younger and has test. if the one in use has got a recent belt and they can prove it then it makes sense that it's the one to go for. even though the 2002 one may go for less you are going to have to spend more to have it on the road.
