The G&G P90 uses the same version 6 gearbox as the renowned F2000. V6 gearboxes are universally recognised as one of the most reliable on the market, though definitely benefitting from a MOSFET to stop the trigger contacts from arcing.

The G&G innards are your standard affair; decent strength 18:1 gears, ferrite magnet high torque motor, polycarb piston, and solid compression/air seal parts. It comes as standard with a metal bearing spring guide (adjustable power i.e ability to fine-tune your FPS on a given day), and can fit up to a 9.6v mini in the battery compartment. The gun has a green dot sight integrated, with 3 settings; off, dim and bright. The dot is tiny and the cheek weld is a little awkward, but once you're used to it the sight is excellent. The coolest feature is of course the gimmick of the integrated laserX module - it's just a bit of fun!

There are other brands of P90, all with their pros and cons. The Marui has the best hop unit, but creaky plastic. King Arms has great plastic, decent hop and the authentic Tri-Rail receiver but the plastic innards (tappet plate etc) leave a little to be desired. There's the CA Sportsline which is fine as a starter gun...but that's it. The KS one is grand, again nothing special; great upgrade platform.

It all comes down to whether you want the integrated dot sight or not :)
