€50??? Try SVP If you want a proper repair with warranty it's going to cost you extra.....

How old is it? If it's in warrany, bring it back to where you bought it.

The cost of repair depends wildly on the model.

For laptops where the DC panel is a child to the motherboard, its relatively cheap and simple

if the DC components are part of the motherboard, you're looking at an extremely pricey motherboard replacement, plus pricey labor, because have you ever tried to unplug **** from a laptop motherboard? Let alone putting the thing back together again, its a monumental pain in the ass.

Some places de-solder the broken DC jack and solder on a new one. I normally wouldn't do that myself, only as a last resort. Very easy to wreck the mobo / some sensitive components that way...

doable I guess. I had a guy solder my car key back into one piece before, that was a trip. He took pity on the project and only charged me $20. Not bad considering any replacement key was going to be $180 after programming.
