There's a thread title for you!

I should know this as I tend to be a 2nd mover on handsets, but perhaps not as attentively as I should: I presume the prices on pre-order phones comes down a little post-release, but on what kind of timescale? On release, weeks, months?

The HTC One is probably a bad example because of the delays, but GBP£519/529 seems a little high to me, was the One X that pricey pre-release? I bought mine post-release and I don't think it was anything like as expensive as that.
