    Can anyone recommend an app and kit where I can read live data, erase codes, turn off abs lights etc etc preferably for most makes and models

    And free versions of obd autodoctor and garmin mechanic.

    I only use torque.

    Careful, the cheap dongles don't like some makes. I bought 2 and neither talk to vw or skoda and allegedly ford, though I can't confirm personally.

    But yeah, torque is the app of choice

    works with my accord, and torque.

    just recently heard of a guy who apparently blew up the ecu of his accord with a cheap scanner, shorted out the ecu.

    VAG need their own vag compatible reader afaik.?

    as bad as apple they are with their own special diagnostic protocol crap, they should use obd2 like everyone else.
