i have a audi a4 04 1.6 petrol.the warning battery symbol kept flashing on me for the last week.now it stays on once the car warms up and wont keep the battery charge.i replaced the battery and i left the alternator in to get reconditioned but they told me its fine.got it plugged in to the diagnostics and the cant find the…

Sounds like a ground problem. Check earth/ground cable to ensure good connection. It may have come loose or broken away

I got it sorted. turns out it was the alternator. I just swapped it with the one on my mothers car just to see and it worked. so don't always believe them bench tests
