How long & how much

I have had this knocking noise for a few months now in the wifes car, 05 Megane saloon, coming from the front passenger area, new drop links & anti roll bar bush's fitted and still knocking :( I appreciate that it can be difficult to diagnose 100% before carrying out any work & either of the above could in theory have been the cause.

Now suspect the suspension top mount is dodgy, shocks seem ok, no leaks so just wondering how long would it take a competent indy to replace the top mount & how much would I expect to pay (ball park)

    If anyone can help

    Ns

The two top mounts prob cost in the region of 50e to 100e each per mount. One question tho have the shocks actually being checked properly just coz they ain't leaking doesn't mean they ain't bust. Your also talking about a hour aside to do also. So lets say parts 200e max and labor 100 to 150e max.
Do the top mounts have play in them. Don't keep throwing money at things u think it might be. A good mechanic really should be very close to finding the prob first time honestly.

Appreciate what you're saying...drop links were knackered anyway so had to be changed & one of the anti-roll bar bush's had quite visibly moved from it's correct position so it was reasonable to hope that either or both were the cause & had to be done anyway

Yeah, probably have to get the shock checked properly now, that has been advised but if one is gone, going to have to change both which would be squeezing the bejasus out of my wallet :(...the joys of motoring and the cost associated with the numerous speed ramps I meet every day I suppose
