Sorry for such a silly question, but is it only possible to record RTE 2 on saorview, as it is hd and the others aren't? Thats what it tells me when I attempt to record RTE 1, TG4 and so on...

What receiver are you using to record the Saorview channels?

I use a Saorview approved Walker PVR to record any channel without problem.

Well just RTE 2 can be recorded on your regular usb stick... but not possible with the others as they're not hd - surprised there haven't been more complaints about this, is it just me...?:o

Maybe because most people use the Sky or UPC pvrs or the new Saorview approved pvr? I've never used a usb stick for recording Saorview and so I'm unable to advise further.

Thanks anyway, yeah my setup is a bit primitive, its just when they trumpet the option of recording onto usb in the brochure, you would think more than 1 channel could actually be recorded...

What brand and model is your receiver? I hadn't heard of any receivers, generic or approved, that didn't record the SD channels.
