I'm surprised nobody has opened this thread yet so I'll kick it off. I have concentrated mainly today (don't normally bet during the week) on the 3.20 at Cork which revolves around Rebel Fitz, Tarla and Oilily. In the end I have decided to leave it alone but was very tempted by Tarla @ 2/1. She was 5/2 earlier, after the withdrawals, so has been backed.

I know SRFC is confident about RF and this may be significant considering his strong connections with the Mullins camp, trainer of Tarla. I think though that RF could be vulnerable today at the trip in the ground and not having run for almost 6 months. He is no odds-on shot imo, best price 4/5 at the moment.

Anyone have any opinions on this race or any others?

Haven't had a bet but Rebel Fitz looks short coming back off a break on heavy ground over a trip further than he's ever won over

Seems quite strong on Betfair however

Said in off topic Tarla would win. ;) Only a mad man would have backed Rebel Fitz at odds on coming back from a break at a trip that he has never won at!

Unbeaten over hurdles and has been unlucky over fences, a cracking mare.

Not quite sure why I didn't lay Rebel Fitz at odds on tbh

Not having a go at you BTW but SRFC has zero connection to the Mullins yard.

Haha I thought he was taking the piss.

Just a gentle troll of the anti-SRFC people on this forum!! Thought I might get a reaction alright!

Backed Might be Magic in the next at Cork. Well handicapped on old form, won a Fairyhouse handicap hurdle off 101 two years ago with the runner up hacking up next time off five pounds heavier and was runner up in the Boylesports off 15 heavier. He just failed to follow up off an eleven pound higher mark next time at Gowran.

Not so good since and was off for a year before down the field last time out but if he is back to full fitness 16/1 was a big each way price

I would never in a million years back a horse with this profile, at any price, unless I had access to information, direct from the stable, that it was expected to run well. Still, best of luck!

It flew home to be second. Looked like it might appreciate further, was fifth and a good few lengths off the leaders jumping the last

No harm for the each way cash

    Well done!

Only copped that Barry Geraghty was in Cork for 1 ride today, won by 3 lengths at 8/1. I was backing pigs all day & only spotted he had a ride when it was too late.

Backed that horse the last three times he ran. runner up at 20/1 last time but didn't today, typical

He also rides Quartetto in the next so he had 2.

I really think Mister Bob is a good thing in the 7.30 @ Kempton. Ran pretty green last time out on the fibresand so if he takes to the Kempton track he should go very close. It's a bit of a risk but one worth taking imo

    On @ 7/2
