Specsavers prescription - confused!

    Hi All,

Just second time getting an eyetest in specsavers and have left totally confused.
The guy doing the test was sound and wrote down the Pupil distance on the form, which he handed to the sales woman, who tried to get me to buy new glasses - either two pairs (one for distance), or varifocals.
I asked for a copy of the prescription to have a look online for cheaper options, but I don't think I have enough info, or even the correct prescription.
She gave me an "optical record card" on which she wrote very little, and deliberately omitted the PD.
Can anyone tell me if I have enough info here to order varifocals or if I need a "proper" prescription:
    r - +1.00/-0.25 X 5
    l - +0.75 DS
    +1.5 Add R+L

    many thanks

That is your whole prescription. The initial part written beside the R and L is your distance part and then the add is an addition for near vision.

You have your full prescription there. You will not necessarily get your PD included. It's not a requirement to be given to you when you ask for your prescription.

Thanks guys for the quick responses.
I noted the PD fromthe chart, so I think I now have enough info to order online. Thanks again.
