Expired NCT

    The NCT on my wifes car expired on 27th March 2012. The car is an 02 Opel Corsa so test will have to be done every year(I think)
    Car hasn't been driven for months though.

    If I wait till after 27th March 2013 and bring it for NCT will the be back dated to 2012 meaning I'd have to do another NCT immediately or will the cert run for a year from the day I do the test ?

    will run to 2014...NCTs are not back dated, you don'rt have to wait either as they can be done up to 3 months early (in your case)

    If you do (or did) your test between 28th December 2012 and 27th December 2013, it will be valid until 27th March 2014.
    Any previous test, or fact if they were done on not are completely irrelevant.

    If your car will be less than 10 years old on 9th June, then yes - it will be valid until 9th June 2015.
