Can anyone recommend a decent laptop repair specialist on the north side of dublin. Have the dreaded bsod problem and I think it might be a memory issue but would like to get it checked just to make sure.

Take out the Ram in the Computer and Try it,, Other Wise if its a Windows 7 Laptop they go to the BSOD if its an over Heating Issue.. could be a cooling Problem.

get yourself a boot cd that has memtest (hirens) and run a memory test
Do you get the same problem in safe mode

    Download and install all updates.

    Could be a driver issue.
    Any more info then that?

Repair shop wil/should do that first, as they are more than likely going to end up being installed anyway.

Sometimes a driver conflicts with other drivers, and an update is released when they realise.
