Barack Obama has said Israel has "no greater friend" than the US, as he makes his first visit to the country as president.
Arriving in Tel Aviv, Mr Obama told PM Benjamin Netanyahu the US was proud to be Israel's "strongest ally", and that "peace must come to the Holy Land".

    Are yez now.....
Mass arrest of Palestinian children on their way to school in Hebron – at least 5 under the age of criminal responsibility
As is known to B'Tselem at this point, among the children detained by the military are at least five children 8 to 10 years old, with possibly others below the age of criminal responsibility who cannot legally be arrested. Conversations with the Hebron police indicate that some of the children have been taken for interrogation by a youth interrogator.

I'd like to think that - given his kenyan father - he'd find some of the platitudes sticking in his gob, but that's wild speculation.

The US will always back Israel up no matter what atrocity they commit.

As soon as it isn't, they'll drop them like a hot felafel.

    Tis the way of things.

Sensible Israelis must know that the only real friends they need to make are those within and immediately without their own borders.
