So I like both of these, I like the drama and sky gradient of the Black & White, but I also love the, well, colours in the colour one.

    Which do you prefer?

Thanks all, looking at them side by side it has to be the colour really doesn't it? And Mrs Buckfast agrees so that seals it! Thanks for the feedback.

    colour.
the b&w looks like there's noise in it and the BLACK ground really stands out, whereas in the colour one your eyes are drawn to the building and sky and you get away with the BLACK ground.

    B&W for me.

The colour one is a nice picture of a lighthouse. The other one is a picture of the sea where there might be nazi submarines or sea monsters just about to make an appearance ...

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw the B&W.

    Color does it for me.

As a matter of interest, what B&W conversion are you using?

I'd go BW, the red puts me off the image, and the blow out on the lighthouse light distracts me... the details of the image, moon, railing, door all come out more in the BW and it really adds to it, tho I am in a BW buzz at the moment. I could see the bw on a wall framed but not the colour...IMO
