    Hey All!
Am going to puerto rico the first week of June as a couple in our 20s.
Was wondering can anyone suggest activitys to do...not really intending it to be a drinking holiday although I've probably picked the wrong place
    Thanks

You could spend a few hours avoiding timeshare touts as the whole resort is infested with them, some of them are very agressive.

Walk to Amadores beach along the cliff walk; take a ferry to Porto Mogan; hire a car and drive the west coast of the island; get p*ssed in Tiffanys - a Welsh run pub in the main commercial centre - but beware as falling asleep = a shaved head if you're not very careful and yawning = a shot of something very strong; eat in Cristinas restaurant in the main commercial centre - booking essential.

Which apartments are you staying in ?

A shaved head!!! please don't tell me they do that to girls too!

Thanks for the advice. I am staying in Eden Apartments... not too sure where they are though, other than at the top of the hill.

I've been to PR 6 or 7 times and always used Tiffs as a local as it's friendly and will put on a rugby game instead of soccer. All the regulars there have shaved heads as do all the staff ( all male) Not sure if they'd actually shave a womens head but I did see the bar staff shave a mans head one night as he was conked out in a chair. I was caught yawning and had to suffer some vile spirits a few times though.

I've never stayed in the Eden apartments, but did stay in another place up that high - Altair Apartments. The Eden is on top of the hill to the west of the valley, will get sun on the balcony most of the day. To be honest it was a pain getting a jo-maxi to and from the beach and the commercial centre. You have no idea how steep those hills are until you try it with a meal and a few pints on board. I've stayed in the El Greco a couple of times (nice but more expensive), Gloria Palace Amadores ( twas a significant wedding anniversary ) the Altair (was the Nevada at the time ) and the Maracaibo couple of times ( standard enough but much lower down, just behind the El Greco ) Enjoy your holiday but please be prepared for the timeshare touts, they do not go away easily.

Went there for a week last summer, same as you a couple in our 20s not really looking for a drinking holiday. Had a great time. would highly recommend getting a bus to Palmitos park, it's a wildlife enclosure with dolphin shows, birds of prey, etc. There's also a water park that you can get a bus to, Aqualand. We went there on our last day so we had to leave early to get to the airport but you could easily spend a whole day in either place. Other things: rent a paddling boat on Amadores beach and take it out into the bay for an hour, play mini-golf (there are about three courses around the place), get a boat tour to spot dolphins and whales. It is fairly steep over there but the taxis are really cheap so use those to get around rather than wrecking yourself trudging up hills in the heat.

Thanks so much for replying. This is the kind of info I was looking for. I wasn't sure if the other resorts were easily accessible but now that I know I can start to plan things better.thanks again

Puerto Mogan's nice, like a bit of Italy transplanted to GC!
Also try and see the cave village of Guayadeque.
When I was there a few years ago a great day trip was a cruise around the island (from Arguineguin as far as I remember), takes 7 hours, food included. You get to see a lot of the volcanic plugs and cliffs.
