Scrap or repair?

I have a 01 Ford Focus (1.4 petrol) that I need to get rid of. It's a great car in fairness but I'm upgrading and it hasn't been well maintained (student, couldn't afford repairs/servicing). I'm debating whether or not to repair it and try selling or just scrap it.

The passenger door is badly damaged after a slow collision with a stone pier. Door needs replacing, would definitely cost too much in panel beating and respraying. Needs full service (all fluids and filters replaced, brake pads and possibly disks, plus maybe some other parts), tyres will need replacing soon, and needs new power steering pump. Milage is currently 100k and timing belt/water pump need to be done around 120k so that would have to be considered in the next 12 months.

I feel stupid even typing this but I reckon that amount of work would cost in the region of 1k. Lucky to get 1500 for the car I would say. What could I expect to get for scrapping it?

As I said it's a fully working car that just needs work, albeit a lot of it! Scrap or repair?

Well scraping it you would be lucky to get €200 for it, just throw it up on donedeal for €800 and take any decent offer
