I've read the sticky on what to expect when getting the boiler serviced, but just a quick question:

Is there a form that the servicer completes that lets me know what was checked etc etc?

    Thanks.

A good service Engineer will give a service report and print out of flue gas analysis results.

A Cert 3 will be issued to you upon completion stating what appliance was checked and/or pipework. Each appliance will be either Annexe C or Annexe E checked.
I'm afraid the Certs are a bit vague & do not list what is done to each appliance. It is just a safety compliance cert. you would need to refer to manufacturer's instructions for what is recommended annually to be done to the appliance.
See if the technician drains the boiler to check the expansion vessel pressure (if fitted). Good RGI's always do this. If he wants to be in and out in minutes, this won't be done.

When you are ringing around for prices you could always ask.. "How long will it take to do the service?"
The lesser time given the more I would be avoiding them, as has been said many times before on these threads, it takes approx an hour to carry out a detailed service on a cental heating gas boiler.
