Work To Pay For a Masters in Engineering.

I'm almost finished my final year of my Mechanical Engineering degree. I really would like to stay on to do a Masters. The only problem is the lack of funding. Taking out a loan is an option but I'd like to take out as little as possible. I've applied for part time jobs and gotten to interviews but every single one of them I'm supposedly "over qualified" for the job. It's pretty frustrating seeing leaving cert students getting positions over me (not that I've anything against leaving cert students.). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
