    Hi.

I'm wondering what people's opionions are on this. I have a Trek 1.2 with the stock Bontrager wheels. According to the specs on Bikeradar, they weigh about 3.1Kg:
    Front Wheel Weight:1345 g
    Rear Wheel Weight:1804 g

I'm not sure if this is including the tires or not. Assuming they do, with tires + tubes about 800g total, that still puts they wheelset at 2.3Kg. The rims are pretty shallow as well, maybe 24mm? In terms of reliability, I've had no problems.

In your experience, would there be any benefit in looking at wheelsets around the 1.8Kg mark such as a set of Askiums? Or would I need to go lighter / more aero?
