Donate old car to fire dept?

    I saw this for Dublin http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=81164548 and was wondering who to contact in Galway for a similar thing?
    Car isn't quite ready to be scrapped just yet but no-one wants to buy it as it's quite old.
    Could probably get a few bob from a breaker but I don't need the money, if I can help the local fire dept that'd be cool.

    Ya ring the above and Ask to speak to the station officer, thats the crew manager in charge,
    Might suit if they have training coming up

    If they can't take it, then the civil defence will. They often run joint exercises where the firefighters cut the car apart and the civil defence lads will treat simulated patients in the car. PM me if you want to do this.

    Either way - fair play to you for thinking of it; it would be just as easy to scrap it.
