Looking for advice please - I'm looking to buy a car and would appreciate recommendations

    Willing to pay €4 - 5,000
I've had a 2000 Polo for last few years and quite happy with small engine for the amount of driving I do. Would consider up to 1.4l. if it's super fuel efficient but otherwise would prefer 1 or 1.2l

I'm tending against a Yaris because of the small boot size.

I'm thinking a Fiesta or another Polo but open to other suggestions.

Something reliable, easy to get parts etc.

Any tips gratefully received! Hope to purchase within Co Cork

For smaller cars id only consider a Toyota Yaris or Diahatsu Sirion Both of these are highly reliable and very effecient. As the Sirion is based on the second generation Yaris it's a very good car with good build quality.

For a larger car, id recommend a 1.4 Corolla, these are very well built and are very reliable, they are also cheap to maintain.
