Combo box + Magic eye - need help!

My uncle currently has a sky box in his attic, that is split to 4 rooms and controlled using magic eye's.
They want to get rid of their subscription, and want the FTA channels along with saorview channels.

I have a number of solutions, all which might take abit of effort but I saw this http://www.did.ie/4ife-hd-terrestrial-satellite-combi-sv-400 today. I'm wondering could I replace the sky box with this, plug the TV aerial into the back (which is run beside the sky dish cable) and run the channels from there through the existing cable? Do these combo boxes work with magic eye's?
It wont matter that they wont get the full effect of HD as the TV's they are going to are old enough and pretty small

The non sky box (or any other box with a scart output) will work like this with the addition of a modulator/remote repeater such at the Triax Tri link kit . I would advise though than an attic (unless its converted to a room) is not a good place to put set top boxes as the temperature variations tend to shorten the life of the box considerably.

The sky box will still give the fta channels.Just connect the aerial to the box to incorporate the saorview signal &, then decide whether to put a saorview box at each TV or update the tv's.

    Im not sure I follow!
If I connect the arial into the skybox, you are saying that I can pick up saorview channels by placing a saorview box at the TV? If so, where do I get my FTA channels from since the one cable I have from the wall is going into the saorview box. Are you saying that the one cable should go to the combobox, not a saorview box?

Cable connects to the saorview box & then by hd cable or scart to the tv for the saorview channels.Mine has a second socket to loop through to the tv to tune in the rf channel to view the fta.

just had a look at the saorview box, it just has the one rf out. not sure by second socket did you mean a second out socket? I understand your thinking though, will just have to look at getting the arieal cable to the skybox

Hiya, yea meant the out socket. The box would then connect to the tv by scart for saorview & connect the rf out to the tv aerial socket to watch the fta .

Remember the magic eye has to go BEFORE the RF in of the Saorview box , not between the RF out and the TV aerial socket .
