Some Emulation Questions

Hey guys. I'm currently building my mame and hyperspin setup. Its going well so far but I have a number of questions regarding the setup which I hope members here can help me with.

Don't worry, its not a where can I find X roms scenario! Mostly questions about specific arcade systems and Hyperspin.

First up and possibly an easy one for someone.

Can Hyperspin display the name of the Rom file name e.g. bgaregga.zip?

It currently shows the game name, manufacturer and year of release but what about the actual file name?

    Second question.

I'd like to separate out the Sega ST-V system to have its own section in Hyperspin.

Is the ST-V emulated in mame?
Are all the games working and running properly?

Anyone with experience of these games?

Firstly, ST-V from what i remember is 90% emulated in Mame,, Radiant Silvergun runs fine'ish. but you need more than just a throwaway machine on the newer mame builds.

as for hyperspin, im not sure if it can list the filename and extension, but its very customisable, the hyperspin forum might be a better bet.

i love hyperspin though, i have it in my cab.

Thanks man. I am thinking of splitting out the arcade classics wheel in hyperspin into a few different systems. I have a separate neo geo wheel as well as cave. Thinking of creating ones for st-v and Naomi next.

Speaking of Naomi, is it emulated in mame? If so how does it run. I also keep reading of another Naomi emulator called Demul. Also makaron.

    Are these better than mame?

There are lots of tools for creating custom game lists for hyperspin. Search for don's hyperspin tools in the HS forums for one of the more actively developed ones.

Once you have made up some split xml files you can use hyperHQ's menu wizard to make a new main menu entry or you can edit the xml files directly which I personally prefer doing.

Sorry can't comment on the Naomi situation.
