Light bulb sizes E14 base referred to as small screw-in base

The range of light bulbs available is very large.
Your (Electric Ireland Store) description of the Osram R50 Halogen Reflector Light Bulb states that it is "only available with a small screw-in base (SES).  What does "small" mean? There are many screw-in bases available.
I think the correct term is E14 which is defined as Edison 14mm screw-in base. This is shown on the bulb I want to replacing as R50 11W E14. I presume the Osram lamp's description is R50 28W E14 , if so , why not describe it as such and help reduce consumer confusion?
