Question as above. I've a 2002 Ford Focus (facelift version). I've a Mondeo estate with isofix that I use for the baby seat but would be handy to have it both as opposed to having to buy a new base to use.

Anyone know whether its possible to get done? Did a google search earlier but a lot of differing views!

    Thanks

At the end of the day its only a piece of a bar that the base attaches to so it CAN be welded into place. How practical and costly it would be to do that is a different question. The cost of doing it would probably exceed the cost of a second base I'd imagine.

Looked into doing it & was told car would be uninsured as this is a modification to the chassis.
