Clear Facebook friend history

    I searched for an old flame on Facebook and now every time I type in the first letter of the person's name it pops up and reminds me. I've gone into the activity log and cleared searches but still all the people I've ever searched for pop up when I type in the first letter of their name. I'm thinking the only option I have is to delete my account. Any help please? :)
