Lots of threads on this one op....

Do you have medical insurance for over 6 months and are the wisdom teeth "impacted or unerupted"?

Sorry I should have searched. Going to be paying cash. I don`t know to be honest never asked my dentist. I have a consultation next week was just looking to brace myself for the bad news! Thanks for the reply.

The price really depends on the operator, hospital and anaesthetist individual costs but expect €2k if you are insisting on a GA...

A lower wisdom tooth under LA is approx €300 or all 4 under IV sedation about €850 if you like holding onto money....;)

I got two wisdom teeth out this week under local anaesthetic and it only cost me €150 and about 15 minutes of my time!

I went to bed with two nurofen and was eating the next day. Don't let some of the horror stories on here scare you like I did!

Generally when people talk about wisdom teeth they are talking about impacted lower wisdom teeth that require surgical extraction. It take a lot more than 15 minutes usually and is done by a specialist oral surgeon a lot of the time. That sounds like upper wisdom teeth, which are often very simple.
