Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all im looking to move to cashel this summer with my fiance and study beauty therapy in templemore college of further education. I dont know much about the college as such but im attending the open day this wednesday.

Ive never been in Cashel before either so I have no idea what it is like apart from what my friends tell me who have been there. Is it a long drive from there to the templemore college? Is it a nice place to live in? (I'm from ballinasloe, galway so i hate the thoughts of moving from one dump to another LOL :D)

Has anyone ever been to this college and if so do you have any thoughts for me? I would really appreciate any help as it looks like im definitely going there for the great beauty therapy course they are offering. Thanks!!

The Road from Cashel to Templemore is not a good one.
You first have to drive from Cashel to Thurles, which is a pretty good road, you can use the old M8 or take the M8.
Thurles to Templemore, is full of winding roads with lots of potholes in many places.

Cashel, is like any other small town. has Tesco, Supervalue, Lidl etc.
Its a busy town as many tourists visit most year round, because of the local areas of historic interest.

The road from Thurles to Templemore is the main N62 and pothole-free. It'll take you about 35 minutes to drive from Cashel to Templemore, depending on the on the traffic you meet in Thurles. Alternatively you can cut across country through Boherlahan, Holycross and the Ragg you'll avoid the traffic but the road is dodgy in spots. Cashel is fine as small towns go, but why not look at moving to Templemore altogether? Or Thurles?

There doesn't seem to be much going in Templemore rent-wise but then again i'm going by daft.ie on that. I'm going up there tomorrow so ill have the chance to check with local estate agents. Is Thurles closer to Templemore? I have heard a lot of bad reports of that area so i've kind of kept away from it...?

If you call into the local estate agents in Templemore they might have something to suit you. Thurles is a lot closer than Cashel, it's a 15 minute drive and you also have the option of public transport. As for the bad reports, it has good and bad areas like any other town but in general I would say it's fine. I'd reckon the majority of houses to rent in Thurles would be in the more modern estates and relatively trouble-free.
