    Hi Folks,

Im looking for advice on what the best market/car boot sale/flea market would be to sell this collection pictured below. I would be looking for the best type of customer that would suit this and obviously try to make as much on it as possible . Collection consists generally of some stools, an interesting sink, some cast iron weights, cast iron fireplace fender, a trunk, old books, old vintage paint pots, tea box from Kenya, Singer sewing machine, wooden suitcase etc. Everything dates 19th century and early 20th c. I would plan on doing a bit of a clean up before hand.

I'm based in Kildare but would be happy to set up in Dublin if there was a more suited market there. Any help appreciated

You don't seriously expect to get more than a couple of Euro for any one of those items?

You might think that sink is 'interesting', it looks pig ugly to me. Most of the other items are of use only to firms which supply the junk bric a brac that adorns the shelves of faux Olde Worlde pubs and I doubt that there's much money above a couple of euros per item.

Singer sewing machines are like old mechanical typewriters, they were built to last so there's thousands of them still around, they're worth feck all and nobody is going to allow one of those smelly paraffin heaters into their house so it's worth precisely zero.

    Good man. Thanks.

Sometimes you may find a pub that may take the Singer and other bits and bobs to add character to their interior.

The sewing machine may be worth about 30 if it was working and in good knick. They were made in their thousands.

The milk separator would only be worth something if it was complete with vessels/strainers etc, they're most often missing.

The fender may be worth a modest sum if its not a modern repro.

Don't expect queues forming for a broken chair, what looks like a commode minus the 'po', the paraffin heater (wouldn't recommend using those for a practical purpose anymore) or the Barbie pink sink. Coloured bathroom suites date VERY quickly.
