    Never used saorview before.
How do I work saorview on a tv and box already set up? Or someone please point me in the direction where I find out.

I'm in a house with tv and Ferguson 120 box which is suppossedly fully working. Turn on tv and ferguson box, I get a radio channel, I press '+' button on tv remote and now I get nothing to show on tv except 'no signal' when I move between channels.

Ferguson box says 'on'. Can also get it to say 'menu' but tv constantly says no signal.

I tried google but I can find instructions on how to install a ferguson box or add channels etc but no basic instructions.

Anyone out there that can help me please?

Do you have an aerial cable and a cable from your satellite dish connected to the box?

Yep Chuck, two coaxial type cables and a hdmi one.
Had a UK radio channel with a graph type image on tv for a few seconds before I pressed the up channel on tv remote then no signal message. Tried pressing down channel to go back but same message.

Have a look at the "Video Guides" - http://www.tvtrade.ie/ferguson-ariva-120-hd-combo.html

Thanks Cush I had found them but they are too complicated, I don't need to add channels or set up the box as that is supposedly done. I just need to find out how to use an already set up box and tv. The very very basic stuff.

If i turn on box and tv - do I use this as I would a tv / life before saorview i.e should I see channels when I turn on tv (and soarview box) just by moving up and down channel buttons on tv remote or do I have to choose a particular source or channel and press certain buttons on the ferguson saorview box?

Make sure you've the TV set to the receive the signal from HDMI.

Is your TV Saorview compatible i.e. will it display the Saorview channels without an external STB? What is the make and model of the TV?

Who installed and setup the receiver for you, would it be possible to get them back to give you demonstration of the basics?

Source button on tv remote does nothing. Hdmi on tv remote also does nothing.

I'll watch tv on laptop for now and ask owner of the house next time I see them.
    Thanks for all your help.

TV is Nordmende NM2245DVD. I am only staying in this house for a while, all previously set up and working.

I didn't want to ask owner of house but looks like I will have to.

Wait a sec - are you using the Ferguson remote? - It sounds like you are using the TV remote. On the TV remote you just select the HDMI input, then use the Ferguson remote to select channels. There is a TV/Radio button which you need to hit to select between TV channels and Radio channels.

Yes you are right MenloPete. I was using the tv remote. As you can see I was looking for very very basic instructions.

However now using Ferguson remote to go up and down channels I still get 'no signal'. Pressing HDMI or source button on tv remote does nothing.

Now I know I should be using ferguson remote - it seems to be a dodgy source button on the tv remote. Using the manual buttons on back of tv to select HDMI sorted the problem.

    Thanks to all.
