I decided I'd put my face up here so others can see my results. I started using la roche posay effeclar duo twice a day as a moisturiser on sunday march 10th so here are some pics after a week using it. Hope people don't mind looking at my skin :rolleyes:

This post made me go and buy it finally, I had been debating it for weeks.

They are currently on 2 for €20 in Sam McCauley, so it is as good a time as any!

That is a shame really, I only found one because I was home in Waterford for the week and there is loads of them down here!

I had a look too - but you can buy online, postage is €5
DocMorris near me was selling it for €20 I think so still a good deal getting 2 for €25 incl postage.

I purchased this ages ago and its been sitting around in the "I don't use but can't throw out" cosmetics drawer for some time. I've very sensative but congested skin and it stung the face off of me, did anyone else have any issues with it?

Given your results I'd love to give it a go again but I don't need nor want anymore broken veins (god dam celtic skin).

What actually is it? A cleanser? A toner? Moisturiser? What other products did you use along with it?

Thanks, that was a good article :)

So from reading it what I gained from it was, cleanse tone moisturise as normal and then use the Duo once a day as well? :)

What I have been doing is cleansng with my clarisonic and a dermalogica cleanser (if i have make up on I first remove my makeup with dermalogica precleanse then finish wth the clarisonic also i've stopped using toner because I'm just wondering about its results) so Ive been using the effeclar duo as an all over moisturiser morning and night. My normal mosturiser is Dermalogica active moist but ive not been using it for the time since i got LRP.

Has anyone else had a bad reaction to this? Skin is covered in spots since i started applying and the ones I had previous seem to be more agitated. I have sensitive dehydrated skin so perhaps not the best thing to be using. I've only used it a few times aswell though so perhaps it takes time? Or Can anyone reccomend anything else for my type skin?

Bought this after reading the original post and several others online and on th recommendation of the woman in the pharmacy who had the most beautiful porcelain skin I've ever seen and who put it down to this product.

To say I've had a bad reaction would be an understatement. I don't generally have particularly bad skin, the odd spot and more redness that most others but nothing that wasn't cover-able. My skin has gotten gradually more sensitive over the last year but this product seems to have just exacerbated everything :(

My face became really really hot and über red, and the skin only became red on areas where the product had been applied. Have been drinking litres and litres of water trying to flush my system and have been sitting with manuka honey on for the last hour or so. Hopefully this will calm down soon.

First pic is my skin normally, I obviously have some make up but you can see that the skin tone is even and smooth with no obvious blemishes or anything.

Have attached the 'after' pic, but its not for the faint hearted. My skin is blotchy and lumpy, red and sore looking.

I'm so disappointed. I really wanted to love this product :(

Gosh michellenman that looks very uncomfortable and angry...do you think it was some kind of allergic reaction? Im sure it looks much better with makeup on but I would go back to the pharmacy if it doesn't improve soon- you may benefit fro a calming mask/ treatment. I don't have sensitive skin myself but would be very hesitant about trying a product that could cause such an extreme change in my skin.

Was taking to a lady who works in the pharmacist last week and mentioned to her I had bought this but had reacted badly. She told me it was just for acne and should not be used on other skin ( I have normal breakouts and also was hoping to tighten up pores) as would burn the skin! :/ wish I'd spoke to her before I bought it! 16 quid down the drain

My sister is the same, she can only use it on bad spots (she has normal skin). I can use it all over, twice a day for weeks with no side effects, I actually find it moisturising and calming on my skin (I have combo-oily with some cystic acne).
