wrong fuel

    My fuel was running low in a honda civic diesel. The digital read out of km to fuel station read 36km. Anyway, I filled up, but stupidly put unleaded in the tank.

    I had the take flushed and was filled with about 10l of diesel. However the km to fuel station is reading 187km now !

    Does anyone have any idea why this might be ?

    using very rough mental maths, that sounds about right if your car averages around 50mpg.

    10 liters, roughly 2 gallons to do 180km (110 miles) = 55mpg. sweet :) a little optimistic maybe but not a mile out.

    Thats a good point !!!

    I think im avergaing 7l to 100km, so 10 isn't to far from 180km. Oh wait. It read 180km AFTER he emptied the tank and also 180km after he add the 10l.

    I think i will just keep an eye out the read out.
