Increase in Ads on Facebook

    Has anyone else had a huge increase in ads on Facebook in the last day or so? For me there is now ads under every profile header (Profile picture, friends and photos tabs etc.) as well as the bottom of each page and now down along the left side of my news feed, in accordance with the right side of it.

    I wouldn't mind at all if they were ads from big companies where the ads look somewhat sleek and respectful but of course that is not so. Instead I'm getting ads about hot singles in my area and of how this woman has angered dermatologists with her new skincare treatment. In other words they're all feckin' shite! :D

    I hope maybe the new news feed will at least make the ads less noticeable, although there won't be much chance of that happening!

    I somehow managed to inadvertently download a programme called "Browse To Save" which was the source of all the extra ads. My Facebook is less cluttered...for now...

    I use Adblock as an extension to chrome and have a lovely white blank screen on each side of my Facebook pages.

    Mines worse Paul McCartney is always staring me down with his animal rights video "If slaughterhouses had glass walls everybody would be vegetarians". Well Paul, I'm already a vegetarian and I don't want to see cows necks being slit...thanks very much :/

    if you go to the guys homepage who designed it there is a picture of him and his wife asking for donations if you like the application as he has given up work to devote himself to the Adblock application.
    It does a great job though especially the Chrome version.
