My case international got a new solenoid fitted last September and has been sitting up for past 4 months...
I put new battery in it this morning and tried to start it but all i am getting is a click, click noise...i cleaned the battery terminals and connection is fine but still just clicks..
Would this be a problem with the solenoid or the starter motor?

    Ta

Check the earth first, put a jump lead from the battery neg to the block and see if it starts. If it does, clean the battery earthing points up on the chassis/block.

If not, it could be the starter, the click will be the solenoid throwing.

also check the trigger wire to the solenoid from the ign switch its the small single wire that goes to the end of the solenoid, you could try crossing from that terminal to power and see if it starts make sure its out of gear first, my 956 had the same probs as yours someone had been under the dash before and done a botch job at the ign switch.

I checked the earth wire by using a jump lead but still the same
I tried crossing it at solenoid all i get is clicking noise and a very very faint churning over
As i say it a new solenoid that only been used 4-5 times and tractor been laying up for 4 months without being started... maybe water has got it into it from sitting up outside...

you would be best to try to turn it over by hand as maybe water has gotten into one or more of the cyls if there was nothing covering the end of the exhaust,id also take the starter off connect the pos lead from the battery and an earth and cross the solenoid and see if the starter will spin.

exhaust pipe does have a flip type cover on it but heard that water can leak into starter, etc and its looks like a pretty new starter too
