    Hi there,

Forgive me if this has been posted before but I cant seem to get my head around where to stay in Laka Garda. There seem to be so many different places around the lake.

Im looking to head to Lake Garda in June with the boyfriend. We want somewhere with a decent nightlife (few good bars etc.), good choice of restuarants and we also be travelling to Gardaland.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

Ive been told Riva del garda and Desenzano?

Any info would be much appriciated. Thanks :)

I was there a number of years ago and stayed in Desenzano. The area was nice with plenty of bars and restaurants. However it was very quiet at the time and was filled with families and middle aged people rather than young people.

Hi sorry never looked a this thread after posting. It was the 3rd week in August and stayed in a place called Villa Maria. The town seemed to shut down between 10 - 11 pm and it was all people who had a glass of wineand sat outside and watched the world go by.

However this was a few years ago so it may have changed.
