    I haven't been confident about the security of my savings (not that I have much) for about 5 years tbh. What's happening in Cyprus right now will more than likely lead to many thousands withdrawing theirs. It just goes to show how shortsighted and clueless our European overlords really are.

    Personally I hope the **** does hit the fan in a big way. The whole system needs to change at this stage... no amount of band-aids can fix it.

    Does he mean bank? Post office ftw. I refuse to deal with banks at this stage. My wages go through it momentarily but I'm not interested in utilising their services further than that.

    No think he means bands, I personally deposit my cash in The Script, Mumford & Sons and The Coronas.

    This is bad news. I'm working abroad and any money I can save I send it to my Irish bank account. I wont be doing this anymore, and I'm going to try and transfer what I've saved in my Irish account to my foreign account.
    I'd imagine a lot of people in my position will be doing likewise.
    This cannot be good for the economy, or the banks.

    Have you considered Cyprus? I hear it's a good bet, very safe.
