    Good, Bad?

See lots of Ebay but are they any use?

My father has the BrainBee 6000 but as I don't live at home ( Thank god) It would be useful for me to do my own quick checks?

So has anyone got one? Is there many counterfeit ones about?

Can be a total nightmare under Windows OS with drivers etc. Handy if you have an Android phone mind you.

Personally I'd recommend USB, just as if not cheaper in most instances.

I bought one last week and it works fairly well. I had it working on a Windows 7 laptop and also on an android phone using the Torque app. Limited enough as to what you can do with it but I only want it to read fault codes when needed.

OBDII is the standard across nearly every car since 1996. There is about 3 chips that different manufacturers put in USB and Bluetooth adapters, both mainline and Chinese clones. The difference really is how good the software is. A $5 cable is just as good as a VagCom unit if you have the right software behind it.

I just have bad experiences with Bluetooth and Windows, hence why I avoid it. Never seems to be consistent especially when you get into COM ports and free software. Never had a problem with USB based systems.

Have to agree, Windows Bluetooth is the weak link. I have a cheap Chinese BT adapter that works flawlessly with Torque (Android app).

Is there any limitations to what vehicles it can read?

I don't have a preference for bluetooth or usb, I simply want something that works

Not out yet, and at launch will only be for US petrol models but I think this will be a nice user friendly tool for the future.

I was sent that last week. Have to say it looks very interesting if it is European-ised.
