25 Options limit, so if your county isn't listed- tough!

I've only listed the republic of ireland counties- minus westmeath (no room). I would have listed the other 6 counties, but obviously there is a poll limit and I'm trying to have some sort of logic in the poll.

I'm just curious as to where everyone lives, as sometimes I feel like I'm the only free thinker/atheist in westmeath.

Well, Westmeath isn't a poll option so the only gay in the village atheist in Westmeath you shall stay! :pac:

Not sure about the Blue Dot part, but the Pale is represented in the poll options. ;-)

I'm originally from Westmeath but living in Kildare. Right now, I'm in Mullingar looking to get rat arsed though. :)

I'd bore you to tears I'm afraid. Not a drinker. I'm sure there's plenty of intoxicated young men/women for you to canoodle with though. Unless of course you're some sort of hobo who travels around the country.

If you go to The Porter House on Dominick Street and shout for Martin Cahill, you'll meet my uncle :)

Or down to Christie Flynn's and you can sit on my Grandad's chair.

Galwegian, moved to Cork 3 and a half years ago for college and work. I'd be an irreverent jackass whichever county I was living in, in fairness.

Not making it out of Danny Byrnes at this stage but you're right, lot of urrrrgh "young" people here!

    I come from Meath.

Funny, autocorrect thought I misspelt "death".

Do I still qualify as irreligious if I nod at magpies and have to turn off the theme tune to Eastenders because something bad will happen to...

    I've said to much.

Never quite sure how to answer this particular question.

Selected Dublin but I'm a bit further away now.

That's not a superstition, something bad will happen; Eastenders will start.

Why are you sad you don't live there any more? I've been to Monaghan.

Oh, I have. Bit of a mess, to be honest, and a strange smell in the air like there was a tannery nearby, but the food was good.

Love the way you left out westmeath but seem curious as to how many free thinkers/atheists there are there besides you! :pac:

Correction to my vote: from Dublin, live in Clare.

We really don't have enough options in the poll to determine how much - if any -of an urban/rural divide on the issue exists.

Didn't want to be biased. I don't expect people are afraid to just say their location if not listed. CAN A MOD ADD THE ADDITIONAL COUNTIES?

Is this not just showing that a lot of people live in Dublin and Cork?

    Population Dublin: 1,110,627
    Population Cork : 518,128
    Population Galway : 250,541
    Population Limerick : 191,809

Keeps going down until you get to Leitrim which is only 30,000 ish.

Hardly surprising you're going to find a lot of atheists, or anything else in the two largest population centres.

Atheists per capita would be a more useful indication of which is the most heathen county :D

Born in Cork, grew up in Kerry, now living in Dublin.

btw, BIshop Casey gave me by first communion -- wohoo!

Born in Santry, currently live in Lucan, so I suppose Dublin will have to do in the poll.

Is it true that those who were Caseyed were given great powers of attraction with regards the wimmin?

There seems to be a problem:

I don't see BADASS CRATER OF BADASSITUDE on the poll...

Not sure there would be really. I think it's more likely there's a generational divide in the country, mainly because a lot more under 40s will have attended college and/or worked in a major city than not.

As I feared- it appears I am the only atheist in the metaphorical village.

    :(
