Why does the authorisation come come by post instead of text when trying to set up a new standing order? Please don't say for security, as I can set up a beneficiary with a text authorisation.

    Thanks guys

    Hi The Voice of reason,

    Thanks for posting.

Activation codes for beneficiaries are for payments made on Banking 365.

Standing order instructions are instructions to your branch. Although they can be set up on 365, the instruction is then sent to your branch and processed on a different system outside 365. This is why there is a different procedure than 365 beneficiaries.

    Thanks

    Billy
