    I recently bought cheap banger 323 mazda 1.3l -01
car is running fine except for few electrical issues.
One is that front passenger side window doesn't open from drivers side, but it does from passenger side sometimes (comes and goes)
other thing is window wipers when engaged in slowest position would move a bit and get stuck,if switched to faster pace or spraying the windscreen they'd work fine and return to normal position.
last thing is when indicating right or left and turning, sometimes indicator wouldn't jump back when wheels are straightened back,so the turn signal would have to be switched off by hand.
I have a feeling that someone was messing with levers on the steering wheel,or due to the lack the car was used they just got some dirt or corrosion somewhere,as checked all the fuses and once done that passengers window started working again but sometimes it just cuts out.
car still has couple months nct but was wondering would any of these issues cause it to fail during the test.

Only driver's side window may get you a fail.

According to NCT manual car will be failed if speed of wipers is "Not operating normally" (whatever it means). ;)

NCT manual also says: "An indicator switch that does not self cancel is not a reason for failure."

Anyway, any of above would give you visual retest, so it'll be free of charge. :)

If you bought it as a run around its cheaper to chance the NCT than to go trying to fix electrics. You could be lucky on the day.

The window problem is likely a wiring or switch problem. It could be some thing as simple as corroded contacts on the actual switch so check there first. If all seems intact and the contacts are clean then follow the wiring and look for breaks or cuts causing the switch to short out. It should be a relatively simple fix as you know the motor/regulator works.

The wipers shouldn't cause it to fail either as they work in the on position. The reason is sticking in intermittent mode is due to the ICU that controls them is faulty, usually a dry and cracked contact/solder point. Hardly worth fixing IMO.

The problem with the indicators sounds like its a worn auto knock off mechanism. It won't cause an nct fail...as above not worth fixing.
