    Folks,

A wee query to see if anyone has any real world experience with one of these lenses. I could have done with one on a number of occasions over the past few months. I know it is a cheap and cheerful way of getting long reach but I would certainly love to hear from people that actually have one.

    Thanks in advance.
    Dave

I had one of those, it is not a bad lens great reach pretty sharp. However it is heavy and slow and will require a good tripod. I had the 55 series manfrotto and it was not stable enough on that.
If you can't afford the canon 100-400 it is a good alternative. I do find myself missing the extra reach it gave but that is all I miss.
