instrument cluster not working 2000 nissan micra

    Hi

    Instrument cluster gauges not working speed, Revs, Temp and petrol.
    When started car at first petrol gauge was working, but the speed gauge was stuck at 20 mph even with engine switched off same for the rev counter.
    When the key is turned in the ignition the gauges jumped and speed indicator is now back at zero. it has been raining out and I am wondering could moisture have caused this, I would imagine if it were a fuse none of the gauges would move at all ??.
    Oil light, air bag light all working.
    Any ideas much appreciated

    Instrument clusters can give problems in Almera's of the same era. The only way to cure the issue in them is to get another cluster. Never seen one giving trouble in a micra though.

    Just an update, I found a couple of relays above the fuses in the cabin, tap them a couple of times with mf fingers and that seems to have done the trick, though I would think the relay may need to be replaced ??
