Thinking of buying a new 4x4, up to 3 -4 year old max.
I had a land cruiser before so i know them well, good aul reliable machine, but now I'm thinking about Pajeros , mostly as they are good bit cheaper. Still dont want to regret it later on:rolleyes:

Any pros and cons on the new pajero? 3.2 Automatic?

    Opinions welcome.
    Thanks

My Cousin has both, 07's, Manuals - according to him MPG is way better in the Pajero. I've driven both and the LC wins hands down, turning circle, general drivability, noise, all better in the LC in my opinion.

Saying that the Landrover Discovery is a much nice drive than both of them with its V6 and air suspension.

Until said suspension starts giving problems. Which it will.

I just sold a 2005 Disco 3 with 115k miles after 4 years ownership and the suspension never gave any trouble - except when a mechanic jacked it up under the compressor for the air suspension. That was a €200 fix.

MIL had one and it was a constant problem. Then she moved to a rr sport and that had identical problems.

I like the look of the discovery's, but i don't think i would buy one tho, they just dont compare to jap 4x4's in term of reliability.

The costs with the Disco are huge compared to the LC as well - I forgot to mention we replaced our Disco Auto with a LC Auto. However the Wife keeps saying she wants another Disco.....

A buddy has a 2007 one since new, suspension issue free and he uses it for towing quite frequently :)

No doubt eventually problems will arise.

The 2.7 V6 is slow enough in auto guise in a Disco too.

RRS is a Disco in a sharp suit, they use basically the same chassis and mechanicals.
