Missed my Job Seekers Allowance payment this week

    Hi Guys,

    I completely forgot to go to the post office this week to get my job seekers payment. As it's a bank holiday Monday, will I still be able to get it next Tuesday? Or could the Job Seekers allowance be stopped? Haven't been on dole for long so not really sure of the way things are done! Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

    What day do you normally get it on? It'll stay for three days officially.
    Mine does be there from Wednesday (when I'm supposed to collect it) to Monday.

    Worst case scenario if it's not there Tuesday, go down to the welfare and explain. You'll probably get it back with the following week's payment.

    But no, shouldn't be anything like being cutoff.

    You will be able to get it on tuesday but it will be void and sent back after that so i'd say you would be better off collecting it on tuesday morning or afternoon just to be on the safe side incase it is sent back on tuesday evening.

    That's strange as you can usually only collect it from the post office normally on thursday or friday and you have until tuesday to collect it before it goes back.

    I'd say you will be fine OP, but if you have any problems just ring them and tell them you forgot all about it and they will fix you up without problems.

    zenno, I've always gotten it on a Thursday. Two friends of mine get theirs on a Monday.
    But yeah OP, either ring or else go down in person so let them know.
