Flying to New Orleans via Newark and home via Washington and just wondering do United have power points in economy for charging a tablet or laptop. If so is it a US plug or our three pin one, thanks.

A quick skim through SeatGuru says the following:

Boeing 757-200 (752) PS Service , Version 3|A power port is located at each seat in BusinessFirst and there are two outlets for each set of triple seats in Economy.
Boeing 757-200 (752) V1/V2 PS , Version 1|There is 100v power to all classes of service which no longer require an adapter.
Boeing 757-200 (752) V4 Intl , Version 4|Regular AC power with no adapter required for US and UK plugs is featured onboard. A power port is located at each seat in BusinessFirst and there are two outlets for each set of triple seats in Economy.
Boeing 757-200 (752) V5 Domestic , Version 5|There are AC power ports in all BusinessFirst seats and in rows 7-21 of Economy Plus.
    Boeing 757-200 V6 Domestic , Version 6|No power
Boeing 757-300 (753) V1 , Version 1|All First Class seats feature AC power ports. In Economy power ports are shared between seats in rows 7-21 and row 33.
    Boeing 757-300 (753) V2 , Version 2|No power

I'm guessing that the Dublin to Newark leg will be on the third option above there but I've no idea what aircraft you'd be flying from Newark to New Orleans. A poke around on Hipmunk suggests that it'll be a 737 or ERJ. If it's an ERJ, I don't think there's power but there's definitely power in some seats on some of the 737s (I had power a few weeks ago when travelling SFO-ORD).

Thanks for that Conor. Saw that on Seatguru but wasn't to sure how accurate it was. Guess I should be ok.

The flight from Dublin will have power on each row in economy. It takes Irish & US plug sockets.

Going down to New Orleans isn't a certainty. They switch around planes a lot on domestic flights.

Cheers, least I know I'll be ok on the long leg of the journey and I'll have an external battery pack for the internal just in case.
